Whilst inspired by the formal architectural style of its surroundings, the accommodation has been designed to communicate and flow in a considered, modern way. They are large houses but it felt old-fashioned and unnecessary for them to have a series of rooms, each with its own defined purpose – that’s not how we live these days. Instead we concentrated on how the space would feel. We wanted the reception hall to set the tone for the house; the atrium style gallery to give a contemporary opulence; and the wide, turning staircase to create drama – all of these combining to give a wow factor straight away.

They say you decide to buy a home within 17 minutes - we’re aiming for the first five.

The principal drawing room to each of these houses is of suitably grand proportions including a dramatic high ceiling. Each of these elegant rooms has a tall bay window allowing light to flood in and they all benefit from a quality stone fireplace with a Danish feature wood burning stove.

We know that the kitchens form the heart of the home for families these days; in many ways this is where our interior space planning started. Whatever else went in a large family-sized kitchen, with space to live and dine, was one of the top priorities and a central island essential.

The kitchens are beautifully crafted Italian cabinets sourced from a boutique London supplier and incorporating the latest design touches. Naturally, polished stone worktops and a full host of quality, integrated appliances by market leader Siemens are included in every kitchen.

The master bedroom suites are designed with decadence in mind. Not just a principal bedroom suite but an oasis of indulgence to which to retreat. The large and luxurious bedroom flows seamlessly into a spacious dressing room and on to the opulent bathroom - a sophisticated suite of harmony and extravagance.

With the houses offering five or six bedrooms across two floors, there are a variety of configurations possible. Many of the bedrooms feature en-suite facilities and several benefit from dressing rooms or walk-in wardrobes. Each house is provided with an allowance for the fitting of dressing rooms, further details of which can be provided upon request.

The bathrooms and shower rooms each have a bespoke design solution incorporating high quality Laufen fittings with designer taps and complementing tiles. The Portabella design team has incorporated a range of features and fittings including free standing baths, extra wide monsoon showers and concealed wall mounted taps.

Each bathroom has been individually designed to exude sophistication offering luxe modernity accented with period elegance.
